As a subconsultant, Anil Verma Associates (AVA) Inc. provided Construction Management services for a special DSA permitted, seismic strengthening of (18) critical, tilt-up school classroom buildings on (7) separate campuses.

The program was the first 17406 procurement for the district on existing facilities. The AVA manager worked across geographical boundaries in all (3) regions, spearheading and executing all facets of (7) contracts. Services ranged from site assessments, document modifications to clearly quantify scopes of work (only plans provided were structural), any associated work such as demolition of finishes or MEP needed to be quantified via the site assessments), bidding, review, negotiation and approval of contracts, contract administration and project closeout.Thirteen buildings have been completed thus far, on-time and under budget with savings reverting to LAUSD.
