Role

AVA provides Oversight services to the FTA, of development and implementation of Enterprise Asset Management Systems for fourteen (14) Transit Agencies nationally. The agencies receive FTA grant funding for their transit projects and for assets being updated to a State of Good Repair.

Description

AVA performs Oversight of Grantee Transit Asset Management Project Deliverables, Schedules, and Budgets; review and perform Oversight of Project Management Plans (PMP) and Project Implementation Plans (PIP). AVA monitors Project Progress, reviews Asset Management Plans, reviews Existing and To-Be Business Processes, identifies and monitors Risks and Issues, and reviews and documents Lessons Learned. AVA conducts Grantee site visits and operating system reviews, as well as assessment of Grantee efforts compared to comprehensive physical asset management. Oversight was provided to Rhode Island Public Transit Authority, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, NY Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, Chicago Transit Authority, Regional Transportation Authority, Chicago IL, Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, New Mexico Department of Transportation, VIA Metropolitan Transit, Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District, and Long Beach Public Transportation Company.  Approximately $33M in grants were provided by FTA to implement systems in these regions. Additional grant funding will be provided for expansion of the systems to incorporate additional departmental asset tracking and management.
