Architect responsible for Conceptual Station Planning & Design for Route Refinement, Engineering Feasibility Analysis and the Environmental Impact Report (EIR). AVA located stations on alternative routes, performed Visual Impact Analysis and Presentation Graphics for Client’s approval and Citizen’s meetings.
AVA prepared conceptual station studies along (4) alternative alignments between Pasadena and Los Angeles, and (5) alternative alignments in the Pasadena downtown area. Studies included two and three dimensional station concept graphics to assist client with presentations to city agencies and communities along the route. Responsibilities included: Station engineering feasibility and site circulation studies for bus and auto interface. AVA prepared station site plans and reports, and conceived joint property development concepts for specific sites. This phase was later followed by Preliminary Engineering, and let out bid as a Design-build Project to be built in (2) segments. AVA was a part of the Chinatown segment Design-build Team.
