AVA’s Role
As Subconsultant to O’Brien-Kreitzberg & Associates, Inc., AVA was responsible to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority for managing this project.
Project Description
This multi-million dollar project consisting of twenty (20) miles of track complete with fourteen (14) passenger stations, several miles of aerial structures, yards and shops maintenance facility, parking facilities, utility systems Concrete Segmental Bridge at Rosecrans Avenue & Aviation Boulevard Bridge, Los Angeles River Bridge and other bridges. The stations were aerial structures and at grade, with several of them located in the middle of the newly constructed freeway 105, which required Caltrans interface.
