Milpitas Station Parking Structure

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) is a heavy rail system serving the bay area communities around San Francisco. The Silicon Valley Berryessa Extension (SVBX) Phase I Project, is a current Valley Transit Authority’s Design-Build project which extends the BART system from the Warm Springs Station in Fremont to Berryessa in San Jose. Under this contract, AVA is planning and designing facilities within the BART station campus sites.


AVA is responsible for Architectural, Electrical, and Structural Engineering services at the two BART station campus sites on the Silicon Valley Berryessa Extension Project, which are the Berryessa and Milpitas Stations.

At the Milpitas Station, the work consists of design-build bridging documents for the parking structure. This parking structure will provide for 650 automobiles at the opening and is planned for a horizontal expansion to add another 1,300 automobiles in the future as the demand increases.
