Description
The Guidebook was designed to provide an overview and a common framework of reference in understanding the rail transit development process. It contains basic planning and design concepts, guidelines, and other relevant factors in the development of a rail transit system. It includes the information necessary for understanding the decision-making process during the various stages of project development and conceptual design in a simplified, concise, and user-oriented format.
The Guidebook was intended for use as a reference by LACMTA rail planners, transportation analysts, public process personnel, the staff of local jurisdictions and agencies, and other participants in the rail transit planning process.
