Role

AVA provided Space Planning, Interior Design, and Project Management services for Homeland Security projects throughout the County of Los Angeles.  AVA was presented with a “Commendation Award” by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in recognition of our efforts, teamwork, commitment and dedication which was consistent with the key elements of the Department’s Mission Statement for the Century Dispatch Project.

Description

Project included temporary relocation into made ready space of watch sergeant’s office, along with watch deputy, dispatcher, complaint’s areas, demolition of existing space, build-out compliance, and return to the original renovated and upgraded dispatch and watch sergeant’s office. The work included Space Planning, Interior Design, Purchasing and Installation of Steelcase Panel Systems, Xybix Systems, and ergonomically correct 9-1-1 Dispatch Furniture/Systems.  Project Management included: Demolition and construction of all the existing space; coordination of the most Advanced Surveillance and Protection Systems (ASAP), Wireless Video Surveillance, state-of-the-art Gunshot Detection, Automatic License Place Recognition (ALPR), Telecom/ Data/ Displays, Radios, Parking/Gate Perimeter Cameras, and Equipment. This provided an effective force multiplier, and deputy safety tool to serve and protect the community of the 13 square mile area with more than 300,000 residents.
