AVA was responsible for the design and development of the Grading Plan for the new Taxilane “S” and vehicle service road “S”. Responsibilities also included earthwork volume calculations, pavement elevations, pavement markings, and utility design.
Taxilane “S” forms one-half of a north-south Dual Taxiway/Taxilane System that provides both access to the Tom Bradley International Terminal apron/gate area and north-south taxiing capacity for ADG VI aircraft in accordance with FAA-approved Master Plan ALP separations and clearances. Taxilane “S” construction project included the design of a cross-field connection taxilane to service the new concourse construction at the international terminal.
