General Engineering Services for BART Projects Agreement No. 6M8043 Station Access, Path and Wayfinding Improvements

Role :  

Anil Verma Associates, Inc. (AVA) and its sub-consultants task are to provide Engineering and Design support to retrofit ADA compliant parking, sidewalk, curb ramps, ADA drop-off, Taxi parking, Kiss-n-Ride zones, bus loading, bus shelter, site lighting, tactile domes, path and wayfinding improvements at four BART stations.  AVA will provide final engineering drawings by updating existing client’s CAD drawings, preparation of specifications, and Engineering cost estimates for competitive bidding.  AVA is also tasked for Design Services During Construction (DSDC).

Description :

This work falls within public areas immediately outside the pay gates and required to improve patron accessibility and meet State and Federal ADA requirements.  Some of this work is mandated to comply with a FTA ADA Station Assessment performed in September 2011 at four locations: Dublin/Pleasanton, North Concord/Martinez, Pittsburg/Bay Point and San Bruno Stations.
