AVA provided Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, & Electrical Engineering support to the Structural Retrofit of this Aerial Station.
The BART Rockridge Station was built around 1970 and consists of eight spans of steel girders supported on dual concrete rectangular columns with concrete bent caps. The columns concrete footings are supported on steel piles. The station platform is a concrete deck slab over steel framing. The access structures, pedestrian bridge, and concourse structure are located beneath the platform.
