Description

Aviation Apartments is a five-story infill housing project located within the County of Los Angeles. Located adjacent to MTA’s Aviation Green Line LRT Station on Aviation Boulevard, and close to LAX, an opportunity was created to redevelop and provide transit oriented housing. The area is quickly transforming into a significant hub as the Crenshaw line, which AVA also lead station design and helped study TOD opportunities, and the future connection to LAX. The site is approximately 3.15 Acres and has a total of 265 Units in a 5-Story Apartment building wrapped around a 6-story parking garage. Courtyard spaces are enhanced with decorative concrete patterns and animated with colorful furniture and large custom container pots creating an eclectic flare. Outside the recreation center, a swimming pool, spa, and barbecue areas are provided. Plant materials were selected for year-round color and ease of maintenance.  Trees and shrubs were placed for public space canopy and to provide privacy for those ground floor tenants.
