AVA was the Architect of Record for the design of the Amtrak and Commuter rail passenger station at Burbank Airport. This station was part of the Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA) Metrolink system which serves the Los Angeles area. The project, which was fast tracked, consisted of station platforms, stairs and ramps accesses to station, bus pick-up and drop-off and passenger shelters, and parking facilities. AVA was responsible for preparation of drawings and specifications, architectural, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines. This project required coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration, the cities of Burbank, Glendale, and Pasadena, and the Burbank Airport Authority.
