AVA's Role
AVA was responsible for architecture, site engineering and landscape analysis for 1800 acres of land in the Conejo Canyon area in Thousand Oaks, California, for the purpose of developing and industrial, commercial and recreational park.

Project Description
The work included a visual quality analysis for the native landscape in conjunction with the proposed changes. Work included contouring of roads, grading analysis for development, study of view sheds, land use studies, etc.. Recommendations emphasized the blending of the proposed project with the natural landscape features of the recreational Conejo Canyon. Design studies included conceptual design details for buildings, sound walls and planting along Ventu Park Road, and planting design recommendation for roads and important commercial and recreational sites. Large scale presentation graphics were developed for the public hearing process and city council presentation.
