Project Description
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is building an Operations and Maintenance Facilities for its sulfate mitigation program at Owens Dry Lake in Inyo County, California. The project consists of an 8,000 sq. ft. administrative building, a 12,000 sq, ft. maintenance facility, fueling and vehicle washing facility, water treatment system, and a vehicle and materials storage yard. The harsh high-desert location dictated special and unusual design considerations that impacted the architecture and engineering design of the facility. AVA prepared preliminary civil plans and final electrical engineering design for the buildings and site facilities.
