Project Description
The Culinary Arts is an internationally award winning popular program at the LATTC Campus and is in need of modernization to improve the facility and expansion to meet increased student enrollment. Currently the building houses classrooms for other programs. The renovation is planned to dedicate the entire building to Culinary Arts, Baking and Hospitality including new instruction studios and state of the art culinary equipment along with a restaurant at the street level. The 84,700 existing square footage renovations includes: • 3-level and basement facility renovation with upgraded finishes and equipment; Incorporation of a new 6500 sq ft street front restaurant and bakery at the ground level of the Culinary Arts Bldg. facing onto the public piazza and garden that forms the “vestibule” to Campus at the corner of Washington and Grand Avenue and is a part of the Grand Avenue enhancement project; Reconfiguration of a new 2000 sq. ft. loading dock accessible from Washington Street; As a part of renovation and aesthetics enhancement with East Elevation a façade with LATTC marquee will be added.
