Anil Verma Associates (AVA), Inc. is responsible for planning and architectural design for the Diridon/Arena Subway Station.

Project Description
Station entrances with escalators and stairs located at several locations near the station would lead to the mezzanine concourse below. Ticket lobbies, station agent booths and fare gates are located on the mezzanine concourse. Elevators form sidewalk level provide convenient access allow for elderly and handicapped persons to the concourse level. Additional escalators, stairways and elevators provide access from the concourse level to the boarding platforms below. Station ancillary areas, underground at each end of the station, will include emergency exits, emergency equipment, staff rooms, restrooms, maintenance rooms, mechanical and electrical spaces. Anil Verma Associates (AVA), Inc. is responsible for planning and architectural design for the Diridon/Arena Subway Station and its coordination with the existing station and future multimodal facilities. Diridon/Arena Station is an underground station situated immediately south of W. Santa Clara Street in the premises of the historic train depot. The Diridon Station, which serves commuter trains (Caltrain), national railroad trains (Amtrak), a recently built Light Rail Station, and a Bus Transit Transfer Area. Directly across the street is the San Jose Arena (Sports Stadium), a major local and region attraction. Pedestrians would have access directly from the HP Pavilion and the proposed new parking garage just west of the Pavilion to the Diridon/Arena Station by a proposed pedestrian bridge above W. Santa Clara Street. The estimated year 2025 ridership for this station is 17,211 total daily boarding and alighting. The Diridon/Arena Station provides a significant opportunity for intermodal connections to all other modes of transit at the Diridon Station. Convenient walkways would offer pedestrian access from each of these facilities to the Diridon/Arena Station. The historic Del Monte Cannery building is located immediately west of the Diridon/Arena Station across White Street which Is being rehabilitated into a commercial center in the midst of high density residential buildings.
