AVA's Role
AVA is responsible for project management and construction management services for the LATTC. This is one of the nine campuses that are being renovated, modernized and expanded to accommodate increased student enrollment.

Project Description
This is a 240 million dollar project. The Trade Tech campus projects will be designed and built in several phases. That includes, programming schematic design, design development, construction document preparation, and construction management. The specific assignments for AVA include selection and management of design teams that include architects and engineers followed by recommendations for the selection of the construction contractors. The AVA Team provides supervision of constructors to ensure that the projects are built in strict adherence to quality control and are completed within budget and schedule constraints. The Trade Tech project comprises of two new story high buildings which will house the new administration facilities, computer rooms, auditoriums, classrooms, conference rooms, cafeteria, dining and kitchen facilities. The new high-rise buildings are designed in contemporary style with wavy exterior walls like the Disney Concert Hall - thus adding enhanced aesthetics. The project contains a two-level underground parking structure with a track and athletic facility located at the roof level. Building F is a long auto mechanics workshop with classrooms. The roof of the auto mechanics workshops has parking facilities, which are served by a long ramp from the street level to the two story roof top. Buildings G and J house a gymnasium and physical education facilities, including two swimming pools. Highlights of the project also include renovation and modernization of several existing buildings, relocation of the childcare center, grand theater rehabilitation, athletic facilities modifications, etc. In order to comply with the bond schedule requirements, the project needs to be completed within thirty six (36) months.
