Project Description
Anil Verma Associates (AVA), Inc. was responsible for the Construction Management, Quality Assurance and Quality Control Oversight during the design and construction phases for this design build contract for the Chinatown Segment of the Metro GoldLine Light Rail. The project is an elevated structure extending from the existing Union Station to Chinatown and incorporates the Chinatown Station for the Pasadena Gold Line. This fourteen (14) mile light rail line connects Pasadena with the downtown Los Angeles Union Station where transfers can be made to Amtrak, Metrolink, the Metro Red Line, and multiple bus routes. The GoldLine has thirteen stations, including elevated stations, at-grade stations, and below-grade stations. Several of the stations include transit oriented joint development projects, with partnerships between LACMTA and private developers. The construction of the GoldLine also included a maintenance facility and yard.
